Dabei werden die verschiedenen Vergrößerungen über die drei Objektive (4x, 10x, 40x) und die zwei Okulare (5x, 16x) erreicht. Das Barlow-Zoom-System erlaubt zudem einen zusätzlichen, stufenlosen Zoom. So bietet das Mikroskop einen Vergrößerungsbereich von 20x bis 1.280x. Damit die Schärfe auch bei hohen Vergrößerungen immer gut eingestellt werden kann, ist das optische Gerät mit einer feinfühligen Fokussierung ausgestattet.
Für Durchlicht-Beobachtungen verfügt das Biolux DLX Mikroskop über eine regelbare LED, mit der sich die Beleuchtung stets optimal einstellen lässt. Die Spannungsversorgung erfolgt über drei Batterien (Typ AA, nicht enthalten), sodass Mikroskopieren auch ohne Steckdose in der Nähe möglich ist. Alternativ können gleichwertige, wiederaufladbare Akkus, verwendet werden. Damit das Mikroskop jederzeit ideale Bildergebnisse liefert, wurde der Kondensor mit einer verstellbaren Irisblende versehen.
Um mit den Beobachtungen unmittelbar beginnen zu können, sind bereits fünf fertige Präparate im Lieferumfang enthalten. Außerdem ermöglichen die Objektträger und Deckgläser die Herstellung eigener Proben. Während des Mikroskopierens wird das jeweilige Präparat durch die Objektklemmen sicher gehalten. Eine Pinzette, eine Pipette, ein Spatel und eine kleine Schale gehören ebenfalls zum mitgelieferten Zubehör. Und mit dem Putztuch lässt sich alles ganz einfach sauber halten.
Für die Dokumentation ist das Mikroskop mit unsrem MikrOkular Full HD (Art.-Nr. 5913650) kompatibel.
