This Ca-K module can be used at the LS130MT/B1200 and LS130MT/B1800 telescopes to observe the Sun also in the Calcium-K line. At the LS130MT/B3400 additionally the conversion kit for the LS130MT is required (item number 0551696).You can use this Ca-K module with your LS130MT telescope to observe and photograph the Sun not only in H-alpha, but also in the blue calcium-K wavelength. Here again completely different phenomena become visible on the Sun than in H-alpha.This Ca-K module was specially designed for the LS130MT H-Alpha telescope. If the H-alpha Etalon unit is removed from the LS130MT, the Ca-K module is simply inserted into the focuser instead of the blocking-filter.The additional conversion kit 0551696 is necessary at the LS130MT/B3400, because at this telescope the blocking filter is fix installed inside the focuser.For human eyes, the calcium-K light is just at the limit of the visible range. Herschel-wedge / Solar-wedge for superior White-Light solar observing and imaging. For refractor-telescopes up to 150mm aperture, and with 2'' focuser. The remaining sun light will be dimmed by a fix installed ND3.0 grey filter. Lunt Solar Systems Herschel-wedges are installed in a fully closed housing with integrated heat trap. There is no stray light escaping, therefore it is very safe.The difference between Herschel-wedges and normal front mounted filters is, that the filtering takes place just before the eyepiece or camera. This will provide a better contrast and sharpness of the solar image.Furthermore, there is more safety at a Herschel-wedge than at a front mounted filter. A Herschel-wedge can not rip or become holes like a foil. Designed for the multipurpose APO telescopes of the Lunt-Solar-Systems LS80MT, LS100MT and LS130MT series.At the telescopes of the MT series from Lunt Solar Systems, the H-Alpha filter unit for solar observation can be removed, then these telescopes can be used as high quality ED APO's for observing and photographing the night sky.This accessory for the LS80MT, LS100MT and LS130MT telescopes shortens the focal length by a factor of 0.8x, providing a larger field of view for deep-sky astrophotography. This also allows shorter exposure times. At the same time, the field of view is flattened for photography.On the camera side, the reducer/field-flattener has a T2 male thread (M42x0.75). At very cold temperatures, blocking filters may no longer work accurately central in the H-alpha wavelength, which means that the details on the sun become less visible. With this Heating-Module you can counteract this effect and observe the sun in the H-Alpha line optimally even at cold temperatures.The Heating-Module is for use with blocking filters in 90° star-diagonal housing from Lunt Solar Systems. Electronic Control unit with USB connection for one LUNT Pressure-Tuner system.The PC-USB is a microprocessor controlled pressure control system that can be retrofitted to any LUNT instrument (except LS50THa) with Pressure-Tuner (PT), without return to the Lunt facility. A simple air-pipe connects the PC-USB to the Pressure-Tuner. All existing PT systems (except LS50THa) can be retrofitted via an included adapter to the pressure tuner knob. The PC-USB can be used at any altitude.The PC-USB controller can be manually operated directly by the control panel at the housing, or via a computer by USB connection (Windows 7 or higher needed). A USB cable with USB-B plug is necessary for operating by a computer, this USB cable is not included. You will find the software for download on this webpage above at the tab "Manuals".Upon power up the PC-USB will go thru a systems vent and ambient pressure set mode. This will take around 60 seconds. The PC-USB is a simple 2 button system. One button for increasing and one button for decreasing the PT pressure. Digital feedback and indicator lights are provided. The PC-USB is accurate to 0.027 Bar (0.4 PSI), providing very precise control of the pressure setpoint. The PC-USB will auto-compensate for fluctuations in internal pressure changes due to significant changes in temperature. The PC-USB can be user programmed to center wavelength set point. Due to the sealed nature of the system, the center wavelength set point will remain constant at any altitude at a given set pressure point. Because the PC-USB can provide closed-loop feedback of internal etalon pressure users can correlate change in pressure to doppler shifted events.Normally the telescope shakes while you are tuning mechanically. Especially if you use high magnification, for example for observing the Doppler effect at a filament. With the PC-USB system there will be absolutely no shaking of the telescope while tuning at all magnifications, so observing Doppler shifted events will become more comfortable.The PC-USB can run continuously on internal battery power for more than 8 hours. Compared with previous models, the new SXP2 mount features larger bearings in order to increase the accuracy and load capacity. The mounting housing is made from a stronger material than the previous SX mounts. The equatorial head is clamped into a fork in order to increase the stability of the polar alignment wedge. Precise tracking with P-PEC function The SXP2 mount comes with the modern STARBOOK TEN control system. This includes a P-PEC function for precise tracking. PEC stands for “Periodic Error Corrections” and corrects errors in the mechanics which lead to periodic errors in the gear systems. The P-PEC function, which is based on the PEC function, is designed for the SXP2 equatorial mount. The P-PEC function saves the records of corrections, even after the power supply to the mount has been switched off. It is not necessary to re-enter the data each time, which enables a quicker setup and more precise tracking. The belt drive system minimizes backlash and noise Conventional motor-driven systems on equatorial mounts use gear wheels, which are driven by the motor. However, this design generates backlash under the gear wheels, which can lead to inaccuracies. To avoid these errors, the drive was converted to a belt drive system. This drastically reduces the backlash of the gear unit, as well as the noise generated by the drive system. It also ensures a quicker reaction when corrections are required. 16 bearings The mechanical parts contain a total of 16 bearings. The SXP2 mount uses a set of tapered roller bearings for the RA axis in order to provide additional stability for more precise tracking. Stable polar alignment wedge The SXP2 mount uses the same fork as the heavy AXJ mount. This new construction enables a quick and stable configuration of the latitude setting. Simple and precise polar alignment via reference star The 6x20 polar finder scope is pre-installed. This allows the user to configure the polar alignment (for both the northern and southern hemispheres). The polar finder scope has a variable illuminated reticle with an automatic power-off function. The brightness can be adjusted in 8 levels so that the user can configure the desired brightness. The polar finder scope can be configured directly via three reference stars and can reach an accuracy of up to 3 arc minutes. Variable mount head The mount head has a diameter of 35 mm and features 8 threaded holes for M8 screws spaced at 45 degrees. An optional accessory tray can be attached to the mount head directly or in combination with an optional mounting wedge for dovetail plates. The threaded holes on the mounting head can also be used to mount rails from other manufacturers.
