The SXD 2 mount in detail
With a combination of the best features from the Sphinx series and the all-new STAR BOOK TEN manual controller, Vixen has developed a new generation of SX mounts for demanding observers and astrophotographers.
The SXD2 mount comes with the new STAR BOOK TEN controller and can be operated manually or with a computer.
Featuring the same precision stepper motors as the top-of-the range AXD mount, the SXD2 sets a new standard for performance in the Vixen mount range. Compared with the SX mounts, the SXD2 has a quieter tracking system, and the increased precision of the motors provides better performance for the long exposure times used in astrophotography.
Precision stepper motors and micro-step motion control system
The star feature of the SXD2 is the precision stepper motors, which offer better performance and responsiveness than previous models. The micro-step motion control system has powerful yet very quiet drive characteristics that offer both fine control and quick swivel movements.
Built-in bearings
The bearings of the RA and DEC axles and the worm shafts were significantly improved in order to reduce the load on the motors. The motors are much quieter than those on previous models.
Robust RA and DEC axles
High-precision and thick steel shafts in RA and DEC axles increase the robustness of the SXD2 mount.
High-precision worm gears
High-precision processing technologies were used to rectify problems with the worm gear. The edges of both worms and worm gears are particularly smooth, which enables them to deliver very high precision.
Declination axis functions as counterweight
The sturdy motor units are located in the lower section of the declination axis to ensure that the SDX2’s centre of gravity is below the intersection of the RA and DEC axis. As a result, fewer additional counterweights are required.

The Vixen 60DA Focal adaptor connects your Canon EOS DSLR Camera to a telescope with an appropriate 60 mm Focuser Drawtube Thread. Thanks to the use of new materials and an improved design Vixen was able to considerably uprate both precision and durability, when compared to conventional rotational camera adaptors. Two sets of rotational locking bolts (Long and Short) are supplied. The longer ones are knurled and easy to turn by hand. The shorter options help to prevent marring of the camera casing, when using certain designs of camera and are also much less easy to turn by hand, increasing security if you need the camera locked in a particular rotational position for longer periods.
The large inner dimension of this adaptor prevents vignetting at the edges of the image when using full frame DSLR cameras.

Made in Japan and designed for astrophotography, this premium extender lens system converts the R200SS parabolic mirror Newton reflector into an F5.6 astrograph. The Extender PH kit was developed to increase the focal length by a factor of 1.4x
It increases the focal length of the 800 mm (F4) R200SS Newton reflector to 1120 mm (F5.6).
The optical system structure of 4 elements in 3 groups corrects the coma error to render sharp images up to the edge of the field of view.
The extender illuminates the field of a full-frame camera (44 image circle).
When used in combination with the eyepiece adapter, the 31.7 mm eyepiece can be used for visual observations.
The same anti-reflective AS coatings used on our high-end VSD 100 f/3.8 astrograph are also used here to provide an outstanding light transmission of 99.9% per lens surface.

The SLV eyepieces with high-quality lanthanum glass provide remarkably clear and high-contrast images of the night sky right to the edge of the field of view. The lanthanum elements almost completely eliminate chromatic aberration, producing a colour-neutral image right up to the edges. The lenses are also fully multi-coated for high light transmission.
The eyecup can be twisted up and down, making the eyepiece suitable for glasses wearers. The large exit pupil distance of 20 mm means that the eye does not become fatigued during longer periods of use, and the entire field of view can be seen clearly even when wearing glasses.
The eyepiece also features a standard 1.25" filter thread for colour and nebula filters. In addition, the insides of the eyepiece sleeves are fully blackened to reduce distracting reflections.

Adjusting your eyes to the dark surroundings is very important when making astronomical observations.
In dark areas, it is very difficult to use astronomical equipment without a suitable light.
With normal lights, however, the light intensity is more important than protecting your eyes against bright light.
Using these lights at night makes your pupils contract, which can make it difficult for your eyes to readjust to the darkness.
The SG-L01, our first astronomy LED lamp, featured a built-in red LED that provided a solution to this problem.
However, the red light did not offer optimal visibility. On our new astronomy LED light, the SG-L02, the LED lights produce warm light to improve visibility.
They also ensure that your eyes stay adapted to the dark.
The LEDs do not emit light in the sensitive range of 555 nm.
The brightness of the white light can be adjusted between 3 and 42 lumen, while the red light can be adjusted between 0.28 and 7.62 lumen.

The Mount
The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GoTo Mount is equipped with a modern and very precise GoTo control system. It consists of a robust Wi-Fi controller unit that provides all the necessary interfaces. The NEMA-11 stepper motors are directly connected to this unit via cable, and an ST-4 compatible autoguider interface is also available. In addition, the control system supports micro-stepping to ensure precise tracking.
Intuitive operation via app and graphical star chart
The ExploreStars App, developed specifically for the PMC-Eight system, impresses with a very well-designed, intuitive user interface. The currently available alignment stars for initializing the control system, as well as all celestial objects in the database, are displayed as a star chart with additional text information. All these objects can be easily viewed and selected.
Powerful controller unit with Open GoTo for customization
The heart of the controller unit consists of a completely autonomous 2-channel multi-processor with 8 CPUs and a Wi-Fi Ethernet 10/100 adapter with IP function. The Telescope

The Mount
The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GoTo mount is equipped with a modern and highly precise GoTo control system. It consists of a robust Wi-Fi controller unit, providing all necessary interfaces. The NEMA-11 stepper motors are directly connected to this unit via cable, and an ST-4 compatible autoguider interface is also available. Additionally, the control system supports micro-stepping to ensure precise tracking.

The specially developed ExploreStars app for the PMC-Eight system impresses with an intuitive and visually appealing interface. We now proudly present the second generation of this telescope, the BRESSER NT-203s/800 with Hexafoc and fast parabolic main mirror. The Bresser NT-203s/800 f3.9 will deliver you deeper images due to its - compared to 8" f/5 systems - oversized primary mirror and therefore faster optical system with the same exposure time. The big 85 mm secondary prevents vignetting for optimal illumination The excellent 2,5" Hexafoc focuser also does not cause vignetting due to its large diameter and makes focussing a joy - the smoothness and shifting-free operation sets new standards in this price class. This groundbreaking focuser, tube rings with 44mm universal standard dovetail and camera mounting feature and a high-end finderscope with haircross and laser-engraved scale leave nothing to desire even for demanding astrophotographers. The NT-203s/800 Hexafoc has a classical tube construction with an aluminium tube. The focuser can be upgraded with a 10:1 reduction (part No. 0625720) without problems. Also prepared for use with the HR Coma Corrector (part No. 0510330) which eliminates coma, field-curvature and astigmatism. BRESSER EXOS-2 GoTo Equatorial Mount. Mount, tripod and hand box with computer. This German mount has tracking motors in both axes that follow celestial objects very precisely. The handbox with GoTo works reliable and controls the mount in every situation. Precise ball bearings in both axes ensures minimal backlash at all nine possible tracking speeds. The Telescope The Maksutov Newton MN-152 David H. Levy Comet Hunter is a highly corrected optical system for wide-field observation and astrophotography, developed in collaboration with the famous "comet hunter" David H. Levy. The Maksutov-Newton system, by design, has advantages and disadvantages compared to the classic Newtonian telescope. Aside from the higher cost, its drawback is the heavier weight due to the thick meniscus lens at the front opening. The main advantage of the Maksutov-Newton over the classic Newtonian is its edge sharpness. Newtonian telescopes are only sharp in the centre of the image, while off-centre they show the prominent coma, which distorts the star point into a tail, like a small comet, causing a loss of sharpness and contrast. The Maksutov-Newton significantly reduces this error, making it sharper for most purposes, both for visual observation and photography with digital SLR cameras. The Maksutov-Newton is therefore an almost ideal all-round telescope, providing sharp images across the field without additional correctors.

The Telescope
The compact optics are a defining feature of the Messier MC-100. The long 1,400 mm focal length allows for relaxed planet observations at high magnifications. Thanks to its short tube length, the telescope is ideal for mobile use. The 100 mm aperture allows you to observe smaller planetary nebulae in the vastness of space. Spot the famous Ring Nebula in the constellation Lyra or admire the Dumbbell Nebula in the constellation Vulpecula. You can also explore the sky during the day: With the safe objective solar filter, you can safely observe sunspots, eclipses, and planetary transits on our home star. (Warning: Never aim the telescope at the Sun without a solar filter.)
The Mount
The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GoTo mount comes equipped with a modern and very precise GoTo control system. It consists of a robust Wi-Fi controller unit, providing all necessary interfaces. The NEMA-11 stepper motors connect directly to this unit via cable, and an ST-4 compatible autoguider interface is also available. The control system also supports micro-stepping to ensure precise tracking.
Intuitive control via app and graphical star map
The specially developed ExploreStars app for the PMC-Eight system impresses with an intuitive and visually appealing user interface. The currently available alignment stars for control initialization, as well as all celestial objects from the database, are displayed as a star map with additional text information. All these objects can be conveniently viewed and selected.
Powerful controller unit with Open GoTo for customization
At the heart of the controller unit is a fully autonomous 2-channel multi-processor with 8 CPUs and a Wi-Fi Ethernet 10/100 adapter with IP function. This allows for remote operation via browser, ASCOM, app, or serial connection. The Open GoTo system also allows custom firmware to be written and uploaded to the controller unit. This enables customized adjustments to device functions and the creation of custom object lists.
Includes polar finder
The included and pre-installed polar finder scope allows for quick and precise polar alignment and long exposure times without unwanted star trails. The integrated LED lighting unit further enhances the ease of use of the polar finder.
