​The Vixen SLV series are the modern take on the classic Vixen Lanthanum eyepieces. These eyepieces were legendary for their generous eye relief and precise nature, making them a firm favourite with planetary, lunar and double star observers. This 10mm is an excellent eyepiece for medium to higher power on most telescopes, an ideal premium replacement for eyepieces supplied with telescopes, especially good for Planetary observers. The SLV Series of Vixen Eyepieces feature a hexagonal shaped eyepiece body, long 20mm eye relief, and twist up click stop eyecup for adjusting to the most comfortable viewing. The SLV eyepieces feature high grade lanthanum glass, and deliver remarkably clear and high contrast star images to the edge of the field of view. The Vixen SD103SII Telescope OTA is a new 103 mm apochromatic refractor with high-performance Super-ED glass (= SD). The advantage of this SD refractor is its short length and low weight. The FPL53 glass reproduces an extremely clear and sharp image by an exceptionally high degree of elimination of residual chromatic aberrations. The SD glass is designed to bring all beams of violet, red, blue, yellow and green very precisely together on the same plane. The special lens material reduces chromatic aberration across all colours.The new Vixen SD103SII no longer uses spacer plates, which leads to a significantly better image quality, especially with bright stars. In photographic images, no spikes can be seen on the stars, which were otherwise produced by the spacer plates. In addition, you will be thrilled when you look at the moon or the brighter planets and observe the moon craters pin sharp as well as with extremely high contrast. Also look at the ring planet Saturn or the cloud bands on Jupiter. But of course, brighter deep sky objects such as the Orion Nebula or the Andromeda Galaxy can also be observed in impressive detail.In combination with the new optional SD Reducer HD Kit or SD Flattener HD, these refractors allow illumination with a 44 mm image circle for full format SLR cameras. The older ED81SII, ED103S, ED115S refractors were originally developed for visual observers and photographers using APS-C cameras. The lanthanum elements almost completely eliminate chromatic aberration, producing a colour-neutral image right up to the edges. The lenses are also fully multi-coated for high light transmission. The eyecup can be twisted up and down, making the eyepiece suitable for glasses wearers. The large exit pupil distance of 20 mm means that the eye does not become fatigued during longer periods of use, and the entire field of view can be seen clearly even when wearing glasses. The eyepiece also features a standard 1.25" filter thread for colour and nebula filters. In addition, the insides of the eyepiece sleeves are fully blackened to reduce distracting reflections. Tripod head with fine adjustment for fast and precise pole height adjustment of the BRESSER StarTracker Astrophoto Mount PM-100 art. no. 4964120. The BRESSER Micro Motion Head MH-100 allows a very precise adjustment by using large dimensioned knurled screws. In order to keep the adjustment distances by using the knurled screws as small as possible, the mounting plate has a quick-release clamping device with toothing in order to be able to select a rough presetting of the pole height (latitude at the location). The Micro Motion Head MH-100 can be mounted on any photo tripod with 1/4 inch photo thread closure. The BRESSER StarTracker astrophoto mount can then be mounted on the MH-100 tripod head without the use of tools using a 1/4" photo thread screw. The complete  motion head is made of black anodized aluminum and guarantees highest stability by the use of solid material.
