Product information "EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Two-Room Pop-UP Observatory Tent / Weather protection for telescopes"
The Explore Scientific Two Room Pop-Up Observatory is a useful weatherproof tent that protects your valuable equipment from wind, dew, rain and dust.
Most amateur astronomers and astrophotographers dream of having an observatory to keep dust, dew and wind away from their telescope and to shield disturbing stray light from their telescope's optics. But for many astronomers, an observatory is only a dream because of the cost of a roll-roof building or an observatory dome. There is also the problem that an observatory building needs a permanent location that is suitable for an observatory.

Portable, quick to set up and inexpensive A good solution is a portable observatory tent.
Compared to their fixed counterparts, a tent is extremely inexpensive and can be set up almost anywhere there is a flat surface and a clear view of the sky. However, setting up a portable observatory tent can also be a hassle. No one wants to waste their valuable observing time reading complex instructions while trying to figure out which pole goes where. For this reason, we have used a sturdy pop-up design. Setting up the EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Pop-Up Observatory can be done in a matter of minutes. By releasing a retaining strap, the complete tent unfolds from its packaging in just a few seconds. You really don't need to do anything other than connect the two observatory rooms with a Velcro seam and attach it to the ground. Thanks to this simple design, the EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Pop-Up Observatory can be set up and taken down in just a few minutes, giving you plenty of time to enjoy your astronomy weekend.

Plenty of space for your equipment and super compact when folded up.
With just under 5 square metres of total space and 1.52 metre high side walls, coupled with 1.83 metre high windscreens, the EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Pop-Up Observatory allows you to set up your computer equipment in one room and the telescope in the other, or set up two complete telescope systems. Each room is 152 by 152 centimetres. Mobile observatory with compact transport dimensions In addition to being easy to set up and take down, another advantage of the pop-up design is that it is travel-friendly, as it is light and easy to stow away. The entire observatory tent folds down to a package 70 centimetres in diameter and 10 centimetres thick. This allows it to be transported in a small car or even on a flight for distant expeditions. And apart from the fact that it allows you to go to your favourite observing site at any time, portable observatory tents are usually the first choice for astronomers and astrophotographers attending star party events.

Advanced materials provide optimal protection and durability
However, the fact that the EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Pop-Up Observatory is lightweight and easy to store and set up doesn't mean it can't withstand bad weather conditions. The Black-Out coated polyamide material is waterproof and offers excellent UV protection. This guarantees reliable protection for your equipment as well as long-lasting durability of the observatory tent.
Large doors for convenient use The doors to enter the observatory tent and pass through the attached rooms are very generously sized at 102 centimetres high and 92 centimetres wide, so you can easily walk in and through your equipment. The doors roll down to keep moisture out and their heavy-duty zips will last for years.

The extra weather cover protects your gear when not in use.
With the large weather cover included, you can protect your gear from the hot sun or a surprise rain shower during the day. Or even from dew at night. The modern, coated and waterproof material keeps all unwanted weather influences away from your equipment.

Included are cords and pegs to tie down the tent. The structure also has additional holding straps for the use of heavy-duty straps, which can be purchased at local hardware stores.

BRESSER Messier MCX-127 GoTo Telescope EQ/AZ
NEW - now including a high-quality aperture Solar-filter for safe observation of sunspots, eclipses and planet transits. Great telescope for night and solar observation. The MESSIER MCX-127 telescope is your own small observatory with GoTo computer control. Easy to operate, easy to transport and universally use.  Observe moon, planets, galaxies and nebulae through the proven BRESSER Maksutov-Cassegrain optics. The main features of this optics are a sharp and high-contrast image, as well as the very compact and sealed tube design. An all-round telescope for all fast spotting lovers ! Goto systems play an important role in the world of amateur astronomy as they ensure that users spend less time searching for celestrial objects and more time observing and photographing. The BRESSER Messier GoTo control, allows you to operate your telescope with the included computer handbox. After entering the basic data such as date, time and location, at least 1 known reference star is approached and confirmed. Afterwards, you can choose your favourite objects from the integrated database and let the MCX telescope move to and track them automatically. It couldn't be simpler! One of the outstanding features of the MCX telescopes is the very solid fork mount made of die-cast aluminium and the universal field tripod made of stainless steel. Both guarantee a safe stand and as little unwanted vibrations as possible during observation. In addition, the drives in both axes are equipped with precision ball bearings and precision worm gears made of steel and brass. This ensures smooth and quiet star tracking. Adapt your smartphone camera directly behind the SPL26mm eyepiece using the included smartphone holder or mount your camera on the M35 threaded connector and take astro photos of the moon and planets. The 90° flip mirror at the back of the telescope allows a quick and comfortable change between using an eyepiece or a camera.  You'll be amazed at what this MCX telescope can do with little effort. When it comes to tracking the stars with a telescope or camera, there is nothing comparable to the precision of a German equatorial or parallactic mount. It is important to follow the objects as precise as possible when they rise in the east and sink in the west. For observers it is very easy to keep their celestial object in the middle of the eyepiece for a longer time with a German equatorial/parallactic mount. This possibility of setup  (EQ mode) is already included in your new MCX telescope. The so-called polar wedge on the tripod head can be tilted accordingly and adjusted to the latitude of your location. You can therefore quickly switch between these two types of installation (AZ/EQ) - without having to buy extra accessories! Also a fast use of the MCX telescope without tripod only as a table device is possible !  This telescope combines so many good characteristics that the purchase is really worthwhile. You will be inspired! FEATURES Universal and compact entry-level telescope with GoTo function Easy operation and transport High-resolution and proven BRESSER Maksutov-Cassegrain optics Aperture diameter: 127mm , focal length 1900mm FMC fully coated optics for a brighter image Solid die-cast aluminium fork mounting with drive motors in both axes Proven Goto control for navigation in the starry sky Computer hand box with very large and illuminated display Multilingual menu navigation in DE, GB, FR, ES, IT Sturdy stainless steel tripod with polar wedge (AZ+EQ mode possible) Can also be used without a tripod as a table-top unit Flip mirror 90° - quick change between eyepiece and camera possible Battery compartment integrated in the base for 8 x AA batteries (Batt. not included) Integrated circular bubble for easy leveling Enlarged primary mirror (138mm) for a brighter image Precise worm gears made of steel/brass in both axes Manual gear clamps in both axes Smartphone holder included for photography through the telescope LED red dot finder with CR-2032 battery included BRESSER Super Plössl eyepiece 26mm (1.25") included (73x) Eyepiece shaft diameter: 31.7mm (1.25") Camera connection thread: M35 x 1 mm External connection for 12 Volt power supply: Yes Adjustable working height on tripod: 110 - 160cm Recommended magnifications: 36x - 204x Telescope for night and solar observationSCOPE OF DELIVERY Optical MCX Tube in Fork Mount GoTo Computer Handbox with Hand Strap Field tripod with polar wedge AZ/EQ Smartphone holder for photography through the telescope BRESSER Super Plössl eyepiece 26mm (1.25") LED red dot finderAperture solar-filterObjective dust capInstruction manual

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Ultra Light Dobsonian 305mm GENERATION II
Ultra Light Dobsonian 305mm GENERATION II - with completely redesigned and improved construction. No telescope type has influenced amateur astronomy as radically as the dobsonian telescope. Before the introduction of this telescope type by John Dobson the vast majority of amateur telescopes were small inadequate refractors on shaky mounts - just good enough to show the polar regions on mars or the rings of Saturn. Bigger telescopes, like the Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, were restricted to the relatively small group of amateurs that could afford them. The brilliant combination of simple - but effective - mechanics and the largest aperture available led to a worldwide triumph of this concept. No other telescope type offers you so much light for your money as a good dobson. We have taken the motto "held together by gravity and driven by yoghurt power" and offer a modern version of the classic - designed by amateur astronomers for amateur astronomers. Despite its large aperture the telescope can be transported easily even in small cars and is assembled within minutes without tools. The construction was optimized for maximum rigidity with a minimum of mass. The combination of big altitude wheels and a optimized aluminium-sandwich construction allows for small movements even at high magnifications. The focus position is already positioned to accept our coma-corrector. The ideal workhorse for the deep-sky enthusiast. A telescope with 305mm aperture gathers more than 1800-times more light than the naked eye. Details on planetary surfaces stand out even to unexperienced observers, and countless deep-sky objects show details. EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC BT-120 SF Giant Binocular with 62° LER Eyepieces 20mm
Giant binocular for observing the starry sky, nature and landscape. Observe the beauty of the starry sky at night and distant objects in nature during the day. Globular star clusters, glowing gas nebulae, the moon with its craters and even planets can be observed wonderfully on a clear night. But also all other distant things in nature and landscape, even ships and airplanes can be seen in detail. With the all-round binoculars of the EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC BT series, you can get up very close. Thanks to the large, light-gathering lenses and the professional coatings on all lens surfaces, these binoculars produce bright and brilliant images even at night and at twilight, providing a special viewing pleasure. The comfortable 45 degree viewing angle allows fatigue-free use, even when the binoculars are tilted upwards towards the zenith.  A large binocular can also be called a double refractor telescope Binoculars such as these can really be described as a double telescope.  In this configuration, the full light gathering power of one single telescope is available to each eye. Experience a whole new dimension of observing as a consequence. Objects are reproduced almost vividly in these binoculars and observing with both eyes is a very relaxing experience. Last but not least, this comfortable way of observation increases the recognition of the finest details (particularly in fainter deep sky targets) and effectively prevents eye fatigue. Extremely robust binoculars with magnesium housing, sealed and filled with nitrogen  The BT series binoculars are designed for tough outdoor use. The IPX6 sealed and nitrogen-filled design effectively prevents fogging of the internal optics even under difficult weather conditions. The very light magnesium housing saves weight and makes it easy to handle. Two EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 20mm eyepieces of the 62 degree LER series already included. EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC is an established manufacturer of extremely high-quality eyepieces in the astronomy scene. An optical system is only as good as its weakest component. Therefore we have decided to deliver these giant binoculars with a pair of quality eyepieces of the 62 degree LER series. With an apparent field of view of 62 degrees and a focal length of 20mm, the BT-120 binoculars produce a 33x magnification. Thus these wide angle eyepieces offer a very good overview (field of view 1.8 degrees) at moderate magnification. The large interpupillary distance of these LER (long eye relief) eyepieces of 15mm and soft silicone eyecups, which can be turned inside out, also guarantee a comfortable and relaxed view. For astronomy, a flat and sharp image field is advantageous and offers a particularly impressive viewing experience even during the day. Due to the waterproof design and the argon filling, these eyepieces are absolutely durable and easy to clean. Interchangeable eyepieces with 1.25 inch / 31.7mm plug-in diameter Adjust the magnification and field of view to your individual needs and choose from a wide range of available eyepieces. All eyepiece types with a plug-in diameter of 1.25 inch / 31.7mm can be used with the binoculars of the BT series. Especially recommended are EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC eyepieces of the 62 and 82 degree series with focal lengths from 8 to 26mm (see item No. 02188xx and 02196xx). The magnification can be varied from 25x to 75x (focal length binoculars : focal length eyepiece = magnification). The eyepieces are held in the binoculars by a precise brass compression ring clamp and guarantee a tilt free position.  Use of colour and nebula filters for astronomical observations Increase the contrast and visibility of objects and details by screwing the corresponding filters directly into the thread of the eyepiece sleeves. The use of colour and nebula filters must of course always be done in pairs. Suitable are all EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC screw filters with 1.25inch / 31.7mm diameter (see item No. 03102xx)  Comfortable 45 degree view and helical single focus The 45-degree viewing angle allows a relaxed observation position even when the binoculars are tilted strongly. Also the individual interpupillary distance can be adjusted in a range from 54 to 76mm. With the fine helical individual focusing, precise focusing is achieved effortlessly. Extendable dew caps The integrated dew caps can be removed in high humidity and cold conditions. This avoids fogging of the outer objective lenses and effectively shields additional control light coming in from the side. Integrated carrying handle A metal carrying handle located at the center of gravity facilitates transport and ensures a secure hold during tripod assembly. Suitable tripods and tripod connectionWhen using these large binoculars, a sturdy photo tripod with an appropriate load capacity is highly recommended. The connection is made via two 1/4 inch or one 3/8 inch threaded holes (standard photo tripod thread) in the tripod adapter of the binoculars. The ideal solution is to use the optional available EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC U-Mount with field tripod (item No. 0114300). This is specially designed for the large binoculars of the BT series and carries these binoculars absolutely securely. EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC U-Mount with tripod for giant binoculars
Massive fork mount with excellent and adjustable mechanics for large binoculars with tripodWhen using giant binoculars, a stable mount and tripod with an appropriate load capacity is absolutely necessary. The new EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC U-mount with field tripod has been specially designed for the EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC BT series of giant binoculars, but also fits most other binoculars from 70 to 120mm lens diameter, which have a 1/4 inch photo thread connection on the underside. With the U-mount there is no shaking or annoying vibrations, the combination is as solid as a piece of iron and provides unlimited observation pleasure in all binocular adjustment positions. Whether you are observing the starry sky or the landscape, the U-mount is a solid base for your giant binocular and allows soft and smooth movements in both axes. The U-mount as a base for giant binoculars and always with you on every excursionAn easily transportable but solid mount is essential when using giant binoculars. A simple photo tripod with ball head or video tilt head is quickly overloaded here. The new EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC U-mount has an excellent mechanism with adjustable friction in both axes, and allows easy adjustment and tracking even when the load is fully utilised. Depending on the adjusted intensity of the friction, the binocular position is kept stable or a soft and smooth movement can be achieved. The large adjustment screws on both axes are smooth and easy to operate even with gloves and clammy fingers. Vibrations are reduced to an absolute minimum by the solid construction of the U-mount. Even at high magnification, there are no shakes and the finest details can be observed. The U-mount and tripod can be separated for easy transport.Mounting the large binoculars on the U-mountThe binoculars can be mounted and removed in a few seconds using the quick-release adapter plate included in the scope of delivery. This is a major advantage, especially for mobile outdoor use. The connection between binoculars and adapter plate is made by two 1/4 inch threaded bolts (standard photo tripod thread), which are variably guided in a slotted hole. A universal use with different binoculars is thus possible. The double screw connection guarantees a very secure fit of the binoculars. The adapter plate itself is also attached to the U-mount with the help of two large clamping screws, which are easy to use even when wearing gloves. Nothing wobbles here and all controls are easy to use.The field tripod provides a secure standNo matter what the surface, the EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC field tripod provides a safe stand. BRESSER Spica-I 130/650 EQ3 Reflector Telescope with Smartphone Adapter & Solar Filter
Set off in search of your own fascinating discoveries at the night sky. This starter set comes with everything you need for your first astronomical observations: reflector telescope with 130 mm aperture and 650 mm focal length, equatorial mount, tripod and comprehensive astronomical accessories. The system is very easy to use and extremely versatile. It is suitable for observing the Moon, the Sun and the planets as well as star clusters and gas nebulae. Ideal for your easy start in sky observation! Astro all-rounder for beginners - the telescope The astronomical telescope is a classic reflector telescope, a so-called Newtonian reflector. One characteristic of this particular type: They are designed to look in at the front and from the side instead of the rear. Thus, the observation position always remains comfortable, even when the tube is pointed vertically into the sky. Once familiar with it, the telescope is also very easy to use. These reflector telescopes also have one important advantage regarding their optics: they are free of chromatic aberrations and thus offer good imaging properties. With its 130 mm aperture, this entry-level telescope already collects a lot of light from celestial objects. In addition, 130 mm aperture and 650 mm focal length result in a short focal ratio (ratio of aperture to focal length) of 1 to 5 (F/5). This allows you to marvel at a bright image through this fast telescope. It also allows for high magnifications, making the beginner's telescope a flexible all-rounder for sky observing. Enjoy the full range of astronomical highlights: At low to medium magnification, take in open and globular clusters such as M13 in the constellation Hercules. Or you can admire gas nebulae such as the famous Orion Nebula M42. At high magnifications, on the other hand, observing the planets or details on the Moon becomes an absolute pleasure. The 130 mm aperture offers a resolution which allows you to admire your favourite celestial objects in sharp images at magnifications of up to about 260x. Technically, even more is possible - theoretically up to 487.5x with the included accessories. However, the image sharpness can then slowly decrease with increasing magnification. Nevertheless, how much you can really magnify, depends not only on your telescope. The air turbulence in the atmosphere (seeing conditions) is also always an important factor in your astronomical observations. Please note that reflecting telescopes of the "Newton" type always produce images both laterally reversed and upside down. This does not matter for astronomical observations, which is why these telescopes are very well suited for these purposes. For nature and landscape observations during the day, however, this characteristic is disruptive. Therefore, we recommend the BRESSER refracting telescopes for this application. User-friendly and stable - mount and tripod Have you found the perfect place for your observations? Then just attach the telescope to the equatorial mount and the height-adjustable aluminium tripod. The advantage of this type of mount: unlike azimuthal models, the movement of the celestial bodies has to be counterbalanced on just one axis. For this purpose, one axis is aligned parallel to the Earth's axis by pointing it approximately at the polar star. Adjustment and tracking of the telescope is particularly precise and comfortable via the two flexible shafts with fine adjustment. And your accessories stay always within reach on the storage plate attached to the tripod.Keep track of things automatically: For this telescope’s equatorial EQ-3 mount, the tracking motor with item number 4951400 is available as an optional accessory. This eliminates the need to manually track a celestial object set in the telescope. When this motor is installed at the mount, it automatically tracks the celestial object, keeping it in the field of view of the eyepiece. This makes observing the night sky even more comfortable! Complete astronomy starter package - the accessories Unpack and get started straight away - the beginner's telescope comes with lots of accessories. The LED viewfinder enables you to navigate the night sky with ease. This direction finder is installed on the telescope and projects a red dot onto a small ground-glass screen. When you look through it, the red dot appears to be floating at the exact location in the sky to which the telescope is pointed. Thus, the LED viewfinder allows you to easily find celestial objects and accurately align the telescope. Different perspectives of the night sky: With the two eyepieces included, you are able to view astronomical objects at different magnifications. With the standard 31.7 mm (1.25 inch) diameter sockets, they are simply inserted into the telescope's focuser. Do you want an even more detailed image? Then the 3x barlow lens can triple the magnification. However, during the day taking a look at the sky is also worthwhile: with the solar filter you can safely observe sunspots and granulation on our very own star. CAUTION: Never point the telescope at the Sun without the solar filter! Whether Sun, Moon, planets or deep sky objects - with the smartphone adapter you can capture your most fascinating moments on intriguing snapshots. Simply slip it over the eyepiece and take your first steps in astrophotography! FEATURES Reflector telescope with 130 mm aperture and 650 mm focal length Reflector type Newton Well suited for observing Sun, Moon and planets as well as star clusters and gas nebulae Height-adjustable tripod with equatorial EQ3 mount Precise adjustment through flexible shafts with fine adjustment in both axes Easy to use, very good for beginners Focal ratio F/5, thus well suited for many celestial objects 31.7 mm (1.25 inch) focuser Two eyepieces and one barlow lens with 31.7 mm (1.25 inch) sockets for different magnifications Safe solar observation with the included solar filter First steps in astrophotography with smartphone camera adapter SCOPE OF DELIVERY Telescope Aluminium tripod Equatorial EQ3 mount Eyepieces: 4 mm and 20 mm (1.25-inch socket) Barlow lens 3x (1.25-inch socket) LED illuminated dot viewfinder Solar filter Smartphone camera adapter Accessory tray Astronomy software download Instruction manual

BRESSER JUNIOR Refractor Telescope 70/900 EL
Observing the stars like a professional - very easy with the BRESSER JUNIOR refractor telescope 70/700 EL. It is a complete system for the exploration of the wonders of the universe, consisting of telescope, mount, tripod and all accessories needed. With an aperture of 70 mm it reveils already many details of celestial objects. The mount can not only swing the telescope left / right and up / down, it can also be used in a so-called equatorial mode, as scientists do in their observatories (see further under Special features). An additional finder scope mounted on the telescope is useful for locating celestial objects. With the erecting lens many exciting things in the environment can also be seen during daytime. With the height-adjustable tripod, the telescope can each be brought to an optimal height for large or small observers. The supplied diagonal mirror ensures a comfortable viewing. At night the moon and planets may like Saturn and Jupiter can be explored. But thanks to the 70 mm wide aperture of the telescope also many celestial objects outside our solar system are within the reach of this telescope. Star clusters many light years away and nebula impress young and old stargazers. SPECIAL FEATURESMounting with wedge: At first glance, the NG mount of the refractor telescope 90/700 NG is a very ordinary azimuth mount: an axis for left / right and one for up / down, as we know it from normal camera tripods. This mode makes sense especially with observations during the day. With the built-in wedge it can be tilted, so the whole mount can be converted to an equatorial mount for astronomy with a single operation. For use of the equatorial mount an axis is aligned with the North Star. When tracking a celestial object only a single axis needs to be moved, which clearly is a relief compared to tracking an object on the night sky with mounts that only have left / right and up / down axis. BRESSER Pollux-I 150/750 EQ3 Reflector Telescope with Smartphone Adapter & Solar Filter
Explore hidden worlds through your own eyes – with the BRESSER Pollux-I telescope starter set for budding amateur astronomers, you can go on your own journey of discovery in outer space. Everything you need is already included: the astronomical reflector telescope with 150 mm aperture and 750 mm focal length, the equatorial mount, the tripod and a wide range of accessories for astronomical observations. Perfect for getting started quickly: the system is very easy to use. In addition, the entry-level telescope impresses with its versatility: you can observe the Moon and planets as well as star clusters, gas nebulae and even galaxies through the high-quality optics. Due to the parabolic primary mirror the image delights with impressive sharpness and high contrast. In addition, the 2-inch focuser allows for the use of high-quality eyepieces. Perfect conditions for fascinating sights of the night sky! Time-proven optics for your first astro-steps – the telescope By choosing the Pollux-I, you’ll start your journey to the stars with a classic Newtonian reflector telescope. Beginners are often surprised by the fact that with telescopes of this type you don't look in at the back of the tube, but at the front and laterally. This gives you the advantage of always being able to look into the telescope in a comfortable posture, even when it's pointed vertically upwards at the sky. In addition, these reflector telescopes offer optics that are absolutely free of chromatic aberrations and thus provide good imaging properties. The large aperture of 150 mm collects a lot of light from the celestial objects. In addition, 150 mm aperture and 750 mm focal length result in a short focal ratio (ratio of aperture to focal length) of 1 to 5 (F/5). On the one hand, this makes the telescope fast and provide a bright image. On the other hand, high magnifications can be achieved. This combination makes the entry-level telescope so versatile. In addition, the Pollux-I is equipped with a parabolic primary mirror. The remarkable effect of this special mirror shape: you enjoy excellent imaging properties at all magnification levels. So you can look forward to the complete range of celestial highlights. At low to medium magnification, you can admire deep-sky objects such as open star clusters, globular clusters, gas nebulae and even galaxies such as the pair of galaxies M65 and M66 in the constellation Leo. And at high magnifications, observing the planets or details on the Moon is an absolute pleasure. You can get really close to your favourite objects: The aperture of 150 mm achieves a resolving power that allows magnifications of up to about 300x with sharp images. Technically, even higher magnifications are possible, theoretically up to 562.5x using the included accessories. However, with increasing magnification, the sharpness of the image can slowly decrease. In addition, the prevailing conditions always make a difference: How highly you can magnify always depends not only on the power of the telescope but also on the air turbulence in the atmosphere (seeing conditions). The telescope also impresses with its flexibility in terms of eyepiece compatibility: it comes with a 2-inch focuser (focuser extension) and an adapter from 2 inch to 1.25 inch. This enables you to use eyepieces with 1.25-inch sockets (about 31.7 mm) as well as eyepieces with the larger 2-inch sockets (about 50.8 mm) with large fields of view. Note for nature lovers: If you choose a Newtonian telescope like the Pollux-I reflector telescope, you can look forward to a specialist in astronomical observation. However, the image is always displayed laterally reversed as well as upside down, which makes no difference when observing the sky. However, this type of telescope is less suitable for nature and landscape observation during the day. Would you like to use your new telescope for exciting nature discoveries as well? Then we recommend that you choose one of the BRESSER refractor telescopes. Perfect foundation for fascinating discoveries – mount and tripod Your beginner's telescope is securely held by the height-adjustable aluminium tripod with equatorial mount. The special feature of this mount, also known as a parallactic mount: in contrast to azimuthal models, the movement of the celestial bodies is only compensated for on one axis instead of two. For this purpose, you simply align one axis parallel to the Earth's axis by pointing it approximately at Polaris. For precise and comfortable alignment and tracking of the entry-level telescope, the Pollux-I comes equipped with two flexible shafts with fine adjustment. And to ensure that the interchangeable eyepieces, barlow lens etc. always remain within reach, they can be stored on the tray between the tripod legs.Keep track of things automatically: For this telescope’s equatorial EQ-3 mount, the tracking motor with item number 4951400 is available as an optional accessory. This eliminates the need to manually track a celestial object set in the telescope. When this motor is installed at the mount, it automatically tracks the celestial object, keeping it in the field of view of the eyepiece. This makes observing the night sky even more comfortable! Well equipped for the ideal start – the accessories Your entry-level telescope comes with a wide range of astronomy accessories so that you can start to be amazed right away. For example, the LED viewfinder helps you align the telescope and find celestial objects. Installed in parallel on the telescope, this direction finder shows you a red dot when you look through it. It appears to hover in front of the sky and thereby shows you where the telescope is pointing. Varying view of the sky: With the two eyepieces with 1.25-inch sockets (31.7 mm), you can admire your astronomical discoveries at different magnifications. The 3x barlow lens already included in the set triples the magnification of the eyepiece you are using. Enjoy safe observations of our Sun with the included solar filter. This way you can easily take a closer look at sunspots and granulation on our own star. CAUTION: Never point the telescope at the Sun without the solar filter! EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 10x60 Finder and Guider Scope with Helical Focuser, 1.25inch and T2 connection
Universal 60mm viewfinder and guide telescope with a focal length of 250mmExcellent 10x60 viewfinder telescope with removable eyepiece unit and crosshairs with adjustable red illumination. The larger aperture and focal length, provide an even brighter field of view and more accurate tracking due to the higher resolution. The precise helical focuser and the 1.25 inch /31.7mm plug-in connection, as well as the T2 camera connection thread (M42x0.75mm), allow the autoguiding required for long time exposure to obtain a point-shaped star image. It can also be used as a mini travel telescope.High quality 10x60 viewfinder telescope with adjustable crosshair illuminationImage sharpness and viewing characteristics lift this viewfinder well above the level of the usual 10x60 viewfinder scopes. The visible image is bright and crisply sharp. Furthermore, this viewfinder has a very large field of view (FOV) of 6.0 degrees. This makes finding and adjusting objects much easier. The existing scale markings (pitch=0.85 degree) on the crosshair are a good reference for estimating distances, and the open centre markings also make it easier to centre objects precisely. All lens surfaces are protected against weathering by multi-coating and guarantee a bright viewfinder image due to the high light transmission values. The adjustable red LED illumination unit is powered by two LR41 coin batteries. The main lens and the crosshairs can be focused independently of each other, giving you perfect focus for your eyes.Compact tracking unit for autoguidingOne of the main applications for this telescope is the so-called autoguiding. Here the usually larger photo-taking optics are actively corrected by a smaller guiding telescope with a second tracking camera. This means that the mechanical fluctuations in the tracking accuracy, which are present in all astronomical telescope mounts, are measured by the tracking camera and compensated accordingly. This is necessary in order to obtain a point-shaped star image on the astrophotos during long time exposures and to avoid unwanted star trails. For this purpose, the guiding telescope is inserted into the existing viewfinder shoe of the photo-taking optics and aligned parallel. If the existing viewfinder shoe is not compatible, a suitable viewfinder shoe is also included. With the 1.25 inch / 31,7mm plug connection at the rear end or via T2 thread connection (M42x0,75mm), a tracking camera can be mounted afterwards. This is held securely by a brass ring clamp and 3 clamping screws. Please note the required back focus for your tracking camera. The focal plane (backfocus) is approx. 22mm behind the T2 thread. The sensitive focusing on the guiding star is done by a large knurled wheel of the mechanically precise manufactured helical focuser. For easy reproduction of the point of focus, this has a white millimetre scale from 0 to 28mm, which is attached by laser engraving. After the tracking camera has been connected directly or via computer to the telescope mount and the necessary basic settings have been made, the first astrophotos with long time exposure can be taken.Use as mini travel telescopeThis viewfinder and guide telescope can also be used quite simply as a mini travel telescope. With the optional eyepieces, a magnification of 9x to 50x can be achieved. Nearly all eyepieces with a focal length of 5 to 26mm and 1.25 inch/31.7mm plug connection are suitable. Especially recommended are the EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC eyepieces of the 52 degree (Art. 02195xx) and 62 degree (02196xx) LER series. Note: Only straight view use is possible.Metal viewfinder holder and viewfinder shoeThe mount of this viewfinder and guide telescope is completely made of aluminium and is a stable base. The viewfinder mount is suitable for many common types of telescopes, such as EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC, BRESSER MESSIER etc. If the existing viewfinder shoe is not compatible, a matching viewfinder shoe is also included. This can be attached to the telescopic tube by means of four M5 screws. The bore distances of the viewfinder shoe are 31.7mm on the longitudinal and transverse axis. The six large adjustment screws with non-slip knurling make it easy to align the viewfinder, even with clammy fingers. All adjusting and clamping screws have plastic tips that effectively prevent the viewfinder housing and viewfinder mount from being scratched.FEATURESExcellent 10x60 viewfinder and guiding telescopeCan also be used as mini travel telescopePerfect image sharpness and good viewing comfortFMC Multi-coated lens surfacesLens focal length: 250mmMax. possible camera weight: 550gRemovable eyepiece/cross hair unitCamera connection via 1.25 inch / 31.7mm plug connection or T2 threadT2 thread: M42 x 0,75mmPrecise helical focuser for focusing the visible imageFocuser travel range: 28mmClose focus distance: 3 mLaser engraved millimetre scale from 0 to 28mm on the focuserFocal plane (backfocus) is approx. 22mm behind the T2 threadSeparate focusing of the crosshair at the eyepieceVery large field of view FOV of 6.0 degreesWith adjustable red cross-hair iillumination Scale markings crosshair with 0,85 degree graduationPower supply of illumination unit: coin battery type LR41 (2pcs)Brass ring clamp and 3 clamping screws on the 1.25 inch plug connectionWith optional eyepieces magnifications from 9x to 50x can be achievedSuitable are almost all eyepieces with 1.25 inch/31,7mm shaftMounting of the viewfinder telescope is completely made of aluminiumViewfinder mount with 6 large adjustment screws with knurled head for easy gripFinder shoe suitable for EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC, BRESSER MESSIER etc.Additionally a suitable viewfinder shoe is includedBore distances of the viewfinder shoe are 31.7mm on the longitudinal and transverse axisAdjusting and clamping screws have plastic tipsWHAT'S INCLUDED10x60 viewfinder/guiding telescopeEyepiece unit with crosshairCrosshair illumination unit incl. batteriesViewfinder holder with viewfinder shoeInstruction manual
