Why do I see everything upside down and mirrored in the finder?

That is normal. Finder scopes are only used to make objects easy to locate. The image orientation does not matter for observation.

What is the difference between an alt-azimuth mount and an equatorial mount?

Alt-azimuth: easy to use, moves horizontally and vertically
Equatorial: enables precise tracking of objects with only one axis – ideal for high magnifications and astrophotography

Top viewfinder telescope with upright field, illumination, 90° view and pole viewfinder engraving - image sharpness and viewing behavior raise this viewfinder significantly above the level of the usual 8x50 viewfinder telescopes. The upright image field facilitates orientation. Multi-Coating on all surfaces.

This polar finder is mainly intended for the observer with a transportable telescope. The 90° view facilitates operation, and with the help of the pole scale and the lighting, a telescope can be quickly and safely aligned to the celestial pole. The upright field of view makes the handling together with the high image sharpness a pleasant experience. The lighting is powered by two LR41 button cells.
