The extra large lens diameter of 70 mm lets a large amount of light into the binoculars, while the 15x magnification ensures that you obtain highly detailed images of your observed targets. Fully multicoated optics ensure scattered light is kept to a minimum, so that you can enjoy a perfect view with the best possible optical performance. At a distance of 1000 metres, the field of view is 77 metres wide. The highly corrected eyepieces with 5 lenses in 3 groups produce vivid images with sharp edges. Coating The premium BaK-4 optics (barium crown glass) features a full multi-coating to increase light transmission and reduce reflections. Focusing Thanks to the individual eyepiece adjustment, you only need to focus the binoculars once. You can then enjoy a sharp image at infinity for the night sky. The binoculars also have a close focus, which you can set from a distance of 10 metres or more for close-up observations of your immediate surroundings. Also suitable for glasses wearers Thanks to the foldable eyecups, you can set the optimal distance between your eyes and the ocular lenses. If you wear glasses, this allows you to see the entire field of view of the Porro-prism binoculars. There is also a dioptre compensation of +/-8, which you can use to compensate for small differences in vision between your eyes. Weatherproof and robust Thanks to their waterproof design, the binoculars can be used in wet or foggy weather conditions, as water and moisture cannot enter the housing. The binoculars are filled with argon to stop the optics from fogging up. In addition, the ergonomic armouring provides a secure grip and protects the binoculars against impacts and knocks, making them ideal to travel with. Portable design The 15x70 Porro-prism binoculars come with an excellent lightweight aluminium tripod, with study ballhead mounting, to ensure wobble-free astronomical or terrestrial observations. Slides and cover glasses are an indispensable accessory which has also impact on the image quality. For most biological microscopes, the cover glass thickness is an important optical parameter, which is therefore included in the optical design and, if so, printed on the sleeve of every objective. You can usually see the number 0.17 which is the thickness in millimeters. For demanding applications in the laboratory, or for microphotography, using cover glasses with the desired thickness and high quality is necessary.The cover glasses included in the set are made of Boro 3.3 glass and are standardized to a thickness of 0.16-0.19mm. So they match the desired 0.17mm really good and give the best possible image quality. These Boro 3.3 cover glasses are pure white, without streaks and are pre-cleaned and ready to use. They are also especially suitable for fluorescence microscopy.The slides are made of soda lime glass, and have ground edges for safe handling. They have a matte field for writing on both sides (top and bottom). Slides and cover glasses are packed separately and in a vacuum sealed bag, containing moisture absorbent. They can be stored for a long time without loss of quality from hydrolysis and are easy to take out.

Microscope slides with a micrometer scale are used for the calibration for measurements.They are used in combination with a micrometer eyepiece or a measurement software (for cameras) in order to measure preparations. The broad scale is suitable for lower magnifications, the fine scale for higher magnifications.

A digital microscope easily brings the microcosmos up on the screen. For a long time, these instruments were common only in the beginner's range. Objects appear three-dimensional and plastic due to the Greenough design with two inclined objectives. The 3D image also makes working with tools (e.g. preparing, dissecting, soldering) much easier.The zoom allows stepless adjustment of magnification with a zoom factor of 4.0 (1x-4x). Only minimal refocusing is needed when zooming. For this, the Advance ICD has a coaxial focus drive with coarse and fine adjustment. This allows particularly sensitive focusing at high magnifications or for photography. The fine focus is also a great aid for focus stacking, e.g. with our MikroCam cameras (optional).The interpupillary distance is individually adjustable. Both eyepiece holders have a dioptre adjustment, allowing differences in visual acuity of up to approx. 8 dpt between the left and right eye to be compensated. It delivers the microscope image live and without delay as an HDMI signal with Full HD resolution to a monitor or television. An optional 11'' HDMI monitor (Art. No. 5914110) can be mounted directly on the camera and delivers brilliant and high-contrast images. Due to the very high light sensitivity, good image quality is ensured even in low light. This model is therefore particularly recommended for darkfield or phase contrast.The autofocus allows optimal focusing of the camera without using the microscope's focus wheels. This ensures parfocality on various trinocular microscopes. The focusable range extends from position 0, which corresponds to the C-mount distance, to a maximum focus of 5.4 mm forward, which also reaches the CS-mount distance, and additionally up to 10.6 mm inward to cover an even larger range. The screen delivers brilliant images without artefacts, as the display has the same resolution as the camera's output image. With the set of MikroCam and HDMI display, almost any trinocular microscope with camera connection can be upgraded to a digital microscope. This allows observation independently of a PC.The size of the display is optimally chosen so that the microscope user can microscope as usual and simultaneously view the image on the monitor. The display delivers optimal image quality with a wide viewing angle of 178°! This allows several people to view the image without loss of quality.The image from the microscope camera is displayed on the HDMI screen always without delay and with a high refresh rate of 60 FPS. Displaying via HDMI microscope camera on an HDMI monitor is therefore usually of better quality than using a USB camera on a laptop or PC. This is particularly advantageous when working under microscopic control.Many users also benefit from improved ergonomics when viewing the image on the HDMI display.
