Product information "BRESSER Stereo Microscope Science ETD-201 8-50x Trinocular Zoom with MikroCam PRO HDMI Autofocus Microscope Camera and Full HD MINI HDMI Display (13.3")"

Powerful combo set for precise observations and razor-sharp images. This high-quality set combines the professional EDT-201 stereo microscope, the modern MikroCam PRO HDMI Autofocus microscope camera, and a 13.3-inch HDMI monitor into a powerful unit for precise analyses, visual documentation, and live presentations.

The Microscope in Detail

The BRESSER Science ETD-201 is an optically high-quality incident and transmitted light stereo microscope.
It is suitable for use in medicine, agriculture and forestry, forensics, scientific research institutes and schools, as well as for assembly and inspection of small components in precision mechanics and electronics.
The particularly wide base with object table and the exceptionally large height adjustment range allow the observation of larger objects. The instrument features LED incident and transmitted light illumination, which can be used individually or combined and each continuously dimmed. The incident light angle is particularly user-friendly adjustable and lockable. With interchangeable widefield eyepieces (WF10x) and a 6.25x stereo zoom objective (0.8x-5x), a continuous magnification range of 8x to 50x is realised. The click-stop zoom locks at predefined positions, so magnifications can be exactly reproduced, for example, for measurements under the microscope. The eyepieces have a field number of 22, allowing a visible field of view between 4.5 and 27.5 mm.

The eye distance and dioptre adjustment are individually adjustable. The trinocular microscope head can be rotated 360° and features two eyepiece tubes inclined at 45° as well as a separate, parfocally adjustable camera tube for connecting a C-Mount camera,  or MikroCam, up to a 1/2" sensor size.

The Microscope Camera in Detail

The BRESSER MikroCam PRO HDMI Autofocus impresses with its excellent image quality combined with user-friendly operation. It delivers the microscope image live and without delay as an HDMI signal with Full HD resolution to a monitor or television. An optional 11'' HDMI monitor (Art. No. 5914110) can be mounted directly on the camera and provides brilliant and high-contrast images. Due to its very high light sensitivity, good image quality is ensured even in low light. This model is especially recommended for darkfield or phase contrast.

The autofocus allows optimal focusing of the camera without using the microscope's focus wheels. This ensures parfocality on various trinocular microscopes. The focussable range extends from position 0, which corresponds to the C-Mount distance, over a focus of max. 5.4 mm forward, thus also reaching the CS-Mount distance, and additionally up to 10.6 mm inward to cover an even larger range. Besides autofocus, the camera can also be manually focused via mouse. Focus adjustment to a specific area is also possible.

The camera functions are operated via mouse directly on the on-screen menu. Measurements can be performed via the on-screen menu, turning your microscope with the MikroCam Pro HDMI Autofocus into a fully functional digital measuring microscope.

The MikroCam PRO HDMI Autofocus offers a wide range of applications, including:
  • Documentation
  • Evaluation
  • Analysis
  • Presentation
  • Quality control
  • Automation
  • Machine vision
This makes the MikroCam PRO Autofocus an excellent industrial camera with a very good price-performance ratio.

Additionally, the camera can provide the microscope view in a wireless network via a WiFi module. When connected via HDMI, images and videos can be recorded directly on an SD card (not included). A USB connection to a PC is not provided for this model. For this, we recommend the MikroCam Pro HDMI 5914180 model.

The Display in Detail

The Full HD display is the ideal complement to the BRESSER MikroCam Pro HDMI and MINI HDMI
The display can be mounted directly on the camera with an adjustable holder. The screen delivers brilliant images without artefacts, as the display has the same resolution as the camera's output image. With the set of MikroCam and HDMI display, almost any trinocular microscope with camera connection can be upgraded to a digital microscope. This allows observation independently of a PC.

The size of the display is optimally chosen so that the microscope user can microscope as usual and simultaneously view the image on the monitor. The display provides optimal image quality with a wide viewing angle of 178°! This allows several people to view the image without loss of quality.

The microscope camera image is displayed on the HDMI screen always without delay and with a high refresh rate of 60 FPS. Displaying via HDMI microscope camera on an HDMI monitor is therefore usually of better quality than using a USB camera on a laptop or PC. This is particularly advantageous when working under microscopic control.

Many users also benefit from improved ergonomics when viewing the image on the HDMI display. Especially higher magnifications with their high numerical aperture are uncomfortable for eye problems such as floaters (vitreous opacities). Digital viewing can provide relief here.

The display can be powered with the included Y-cable using the same power supply as the camera. A suitable, short, angled HDMI cable is also included to avoid cable clutter at the workplace. Mounting on a MikroCam PRO or MINI is done using two screws. Screws and tools are included.

High-quality complete set for precise analyses and sharp image transmission: This powerful set combines the Science ETD-201 stereo microscope with the advanced MikroCam SF UHD camera. It is ideally suited for detailed observations and documenting work results. The Microscope in DetailThe BRESSER Science ETD-201 is an optically high-quality reflected and transmitted light stereo microscope. It is suitable for use in medicine, agriculture and forestry, forensics, scientific research institutes and schools as well as for assembly and inspection of small components in precision mechanics and electronics. The particularly wide base with object table and the exceptionally large height adjustment range allow the observation of larger objects. The instrument features LED reflected and transmitted illumination, which can be used individually or combined and each continuously adjustable. The reflected light incidence angle is particularly user-friendly adjustable and lockable. This allows observations of objects to be easily documented and shared with others. The high frame rate of the MikroCam SF series enables the creation of videos with smooth image flow. The built-in Sony sensors offer good image quality, colour reproduction and dynamics. The included software supports, among others, the following languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Turkish. The MikroCamLabII software offers a wide range of functions. Essential functions (e.g. exposure time and sensitivity) can be controlled automatically or manually.Very convenient are the functions for so-called focus stacking (for high depth of field) and the creation of a mosaic or panorama. These two functions can be performed with a previously recorded image series or directly from the live view. Creating depth-sharp images using live focus stacking (EDF) is possible within minutes with the MikroCamLabII software. While you focus on the microscope, the software gradually builds the finished, completely sharp result image without further input. This way you get impressive, sharp image results in a very short time. The measurement function* included in the software helps you determine sizes or display a scale. You can measure distances, angles or areas with just a few clicks. Extensive functions support you, e.g. measuring circles with area and radius or complex polygons. Measurements can be performed on the recorded image as well as in the live image. The MikroCamLabII software also has extensive algorithms for automated image evaluation, e.g. for particle counting or area evaluation. The housing has a C-Mount connection thread and can therefore be used on microscopes from various manufacturers. We are happy to advise you which MikroCam is optimally suitable for your microscope. For use on devices with a 23.2 mm mount, an optional 0.5x reduction optic (Art. No. 5914015 (fixed), Art. No. 5914005 (variable)) is available. For special applications, e.g. with a C-Mount objective, the camera can also be mounted on the integrated 1/4" tripod thread. *For calibration of the measurement function, a suitable measuring tool is required, e.g.: Art. No. 5916710 or 5916720.
