Measure the temperature and humidity outside your own front door The weather station comes with an outdoor sensor, which takes precise measurements of the temperature and humidity outside your home. The sensor transmits the readings to the base station at a range of up to 80 metres, where they are displayed on the built-in screen together with the recent trend. You can also view the current readings on the sensor’s built-in display – perfect when you’re out on the terrace or balcony. Built-in heat and frost alarm The weather station also features a temperature alarm, which plays an acoustic signal when the outdoor temperature reaches your preset maximum or minimum value. And on cold winter days, the frost alarm will display a flashing symbol on the base station when the temperature is between -1 and -2.9 °C. Monitor the indoor temperature and humidity Dry and humid air can also be a problem indoors – maintaining a comfortable indoor climate is essential to our health and well-being. In addition to displaying the data from the outdoor sensor, the base station also measures the indoor temperature and humidity and indicates the comfort level via an onscreen comfort indicator. The comfort indicator can also be used for displaying the data from the outdoor sensor – for example if you want to monitor the indoor climate in other rooms using an additional thermo-hygro sensor (supports up to two additional sensors, see BRESSER accessories for compatibility). In addition, the base station also displays an alarm symbol where there is a risk of mould, and features a max./min. memory function that gives you a precise overview of the highest and lowest readings. Built-in alarm clock The BRESSER ClimateTemp NBF weather station is ideal for use in bedrooms. In addition to two alarm clocks that can be configured for different days of the week, it also features a snooze function with an adjustable snooze time, as well as a backlight with 5 different brightness settings and a night mode that can be configured to switch on and off at specific times. What’s more, the weather station sets the time automatically via a DCF signal so that you don’t have to reset the time manually when the clocks change. The Bresser cover slips have a size of 22 x22 mm and a thickness range from 0,13 – 0,17 mm. They are used to cover the sample on the slide. A thin and even sample is necessary for observations with high magnification. These cover slips are designed to work with all objectives that have the thickness of 0,17 mm included in their optical design. Usually you find this number printed on the objective. If you compare this entry-level telescope to a corresponding astronomical telescope with a 60 mm aperture, you will notice: With its 70 mm aperture, the Lyra already collects 36 % more light. It also offers better resolution. In addition, 70 mm aperture and 900 mm focal length result in a very large focal ratio (ratio of aperture to focal length) of about 1 to 12.9 (F/12.9). Of course – as with everything in astronomy – the prevailing conditions also play a role: So, how much you can actually magnify is determined not only by your telescope's performance but also by the air turbulence in the atmosphere (seeing conditions). Perfect foundation for your glimpse into space – mount and tripod Once you have found the ideal location for your astronomical telescope, you can quickly start exploring the sky. Simply mount the tube with the equatorial mount on the height-adjustable aluminium tripod. This special type of mount has the advantage of particularly convenient tracking: for this purpose, an axis is aligned parallel to the Earth's axis by pointing it approximately at Polaris during the so-called "alignment". Afterwards, the movement of the celestial bodies can be conveniently compensated for on this one axis rather than on both at the same time, as is the case with an azimuthal mount. In addition, the two flexible shafts with fine adjustment ensure the very precise and comfortable adjustment and tracking of the entry-level telescope. Always the right accessories at hand: the storage plate between the tripod legs provides space for eyepieces, barlow lens, solar filter etc.Keep track of things automatically: For this telescope’s equatorial EQ-3 mount, the tracking motor with item number 4951400 is available as an optional accessory. This eliminates the need to manually track a celestial object set in the telescope.
