BRESSER Microscope Science MTL 201 50-800x with MikroCamII 20 MP 1'' Microscope Camera

Product information "BRESSER Microscope Science MTL 201 50-800x with MikroCamII 20 MP 1'' Microscope Camera"

This high-quality combination set, consisting of the professional Science MTL-201 microscope and the powerful MikroCamII 20MP, is specially designed for precise metallurgical examinations and versatile laboratory use. It impresses with excellent image quality, robust construction and state-of-the-art technology - ideal for material analysis, quality control and reliable, well-documented research results.

The microscope in detail

The BRESSER Science MTL 201 is a specialised reflected light microscope that allows the observation of non-transparent surfaces at higher magnifications (50x-800x). Ideal fields of application for this very solidly built instrument include metallography (e.g. microstructures of metals and alloys), mineralogy, precision mechanics, electronics and the semiconductor industry; it is suitable for scientific research and teaching as well as for industrial production (e.g. quality control).
In line with its intended use, the MTL 201 features a very large stage (250 mm x 230 mm), which can be moved coarsely with a handle and finely with cross and longitudinal drives. For perfect focusing, both coarse and fine focus (coaxial; approx. 70 µm per revolution) are provided. Reflected light illumination using a 20 W halogen lamp with adjustable light intensity is directed through the objective. A centreable field diaphragm, a selection of filters (yellow, green, blue, matt) and a polariser/analyser combination are available to the user. The five-position nosepiece is fitted with planachromatic DIN objectives (5x, 10x, 20x, 40x, 80x). The trinocular microscope head holds the 30° inclined eyepiece tubes and the photo tube. The widefield eyepieces (WF10x) can be adjusted for interpupillary distance and dioptre difference. The photo tube enables digital image capture, e.g. via an optionally available PC eyepiece. Further optional accessories: eyepiece (WF16x), measuring eyepiece (WF10x), planachromatic objective (50x).

The BRESSER Science MTL 201 is a specialised reflected light microscope that enables surface investigations of metals or plastics. It is therefore ideal for quality inspection or tissue examination.

The microscope camera in detail

The BRESSER MikroCamII 20 MP 1‘‘ microscope camera is the professional solution for documentation at the microscope and, with an edge length of 13.06 x 8.8 mm, has the largest sensor in the MikroCam range. This makes it possible to capture even large fields of view. Depending on the microscope model, the entire eyepiece field of view can be documented with this camera (for a 10x / 22 mm eyepiece). Other cameras often capture less than 50% of the eyepiece field of view.

The Sony IMX183 CMOS sensor combines high light sensitivity with extremely low noise, making this camera ideally suited for dark field or phase contrast imaging.

The MikroCam Lab II software offers a wide range of functions, such as measurement in live view (calibration slide required), mosaic image creation, and focus stacking (for increased depth of field). All automatic functions (exposure time, sensitivity, white balance, etc.) can also be set manually.

Due to the large sensor, the camera is not optimally suited for every microscope. This may result in vignetting (edge shading). In most cases, this shading can be corrected with a 1x optic (Art. No. 5914001) screwed into the camera.

This camera is not designed for the trinocular tube of the ETD-201. With this microscope, only a small part of the field of view can be used.
