The Microscope in Detail

The BRESSER Erudit DLX is a high-quality study microscope for a wide range of applications, such as in school, university, or as a hobby. The dimmable LED lighting of the Erudit DLX and a centrable and height-adjustable condenser (with iris diaphragm and filter holder) enable optimal illumination. The achromatic DIN objectives ensure excellent imaging. The 40x and 100x objectives are spring-loaded to prevent damage to the specimen. The microscope features a 360° rotatable monocular view, coarse and fine focusing, as well as a coaxial cross table with vernier.

The Microscope Camera in Detail

The BRESSER MikroCam SF cameras are excellent for capturing photos and videos with a microscope. This allows observations of objects to be easily documented and shared with others. The high frame rate of the MikroCam SF series enables the creation of videos with smooth image transitions. The built-in Sony sensors offer good image quality, color reproduction, and dynamics.

The software included in the delivery supports, among others, the following languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Turkish.

The MikroCamLabII software offers a wide range of functions. The essential functions (e.g., exposure time and sensitivity) can be controlled automatically or manually.

Very convenient are the functions for so-called focus stacking (for high depth of field) and the creation of a mosaic or panorama. These two functions can be performed with a previously recorded series of images or directly from the live view. Creating depth-sharp images using live focus stacking (EDF) is possible with the MikroCamLabII software in just a few minutes. While you focus on the microscope, the software gradually builds the finished, completely sharp result image without further intervention. This way, you get impressive, sharp image results in the shortest time.

The measurement function* included in the software helps you determine sizes or display a scale. You can measure distances, angles, or areas with just a few clicks. Extensive functions support you, e.g., measuring circles with area and radius or even complex polygons.
Measurements can be performed in the captured image as well as in the live image. The MikroCamLabII software also features extensive algorithms for automated image evaluation, e.g., for particle counting or area evaluation.

The housing features a C-mount connection thread and can therefore be used with microscopes from various manufacturers. We are happy to advise you on which MikroCam is optimally suited for your microscope.

For use on devices with a 23.2-mm mount, an optional 0.5x reduction optic (Art.-No. 5914015 (fixed), Art. No. 5914005 (variable)) is available. For special applications, e.g., with a C-mount lens, the camera can also be mounted on the integrated 1/4" tripod thread.

*For the calibration of the measurement function, a suitable measuring tool is required, e.g.: Art.-No. 5916710 or 5916720.
