The Solar Filter material being used is the new advanced 'Solarlite' Film manufactured by world famous Thousand Oaks Optical through years of research and development. 'Solarlite' a new solar film that has the optical quality of glass with the advantages of impregnated polymer. Perfect also for the solar astrophotographer.

Spare part for blocking-filters from LUNT SOLAR SYSTEMS, suitable for B400, B500, B600, B1200 and B1800 blocking-filters.The H-alpha telescopes and filter systems from Lunt Solar Systems each include a blocking-filter. The blocking-filters have a blue colored filter part on the side facing the telescope. This blue colored filter parts may become a milky white layer at older blocking-filters if the blocking-filter was storded at high air humidity for some time. Please always store H-alpha telescopes and filters as dry as possible. If this blue colored filter part has become a milky white layer, it can be replaced with this spare part. The replacement is easy and can be done by the user himself. Installation instructions can be found here under the "Manuals" tab as a PDF for download.Please note that this replacement part can only be used on Lunt Solar Systems blocking-filters B400 to B1800. The telescope is very easy to set-up, easy to use and highly transportable. It is equally useful for nature enthusiasts, who are searching for a powerful telescope which offers a bright and sharp view, as it is for astronomers. It is ideal as a travel scope, due to its light weight and compact nature. The Classic 70/350 comes supplied with a 90° Erecting-prism (1.25"´/31,7mm) and shows an upright and corrected image. The supplied field tripod is a sturdy mount for the telescope. It is adjustable in height from 28-63inch (73-160cm) and makes the observation much more comfortable no matter what height the user is. A carry case for the tripod is also supplied.The telescope is provided with three eyepieces, a 20mm, 12.5mm and 4mm, giving respective powers of 17.5x (ideal for finding targets), 28x ideal for more detailed nature study and wide field astronomical targets) and 87.5x (this is enough to resolve Saturn as a ringed object and reveal a wealth of detail on the Moon). As the telescope takes standard 1.25" gauge eyepieces, you can add to your eyepiece collection easily with eyepieces and other accessories (Barlow lenses etc.) from various manufacturers.
